Job Overview
Recircle, a UK-based developer and supplier of industrial rubber waste recovery and recycling technology, seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing efficient solutions for the company's uncured rubber waste processing technology.
This role encompasses all aspects from concept ideation through to operational validation, working on various stages of Recircle's technologies, including research and development, design and manufacture, installation, commissioning, and performance analysis.
The primary function of this position will be to drive mechanical design engineering excellence within Recircle's cross-functional engineering team, collaborating with academic and leading industrial partners on advanced technology developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive designs, drawings, and models of mechanical components and systems
* Analyse complex problems, apply engineering principles, and find innovative solutions
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including other engineers, designers, and professionals, to achieve project goals
* Work effectively in cross-functional teams, engaging with and conveying technical information to team members, clients, and stakeholders
* Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field
* Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and modelling mechanical components and systems
* Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in the design, manufacturing, or operational phases of a project
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with and convey technical information to team members, clients, and stakeholders
