Our Enforcement Team plays a vital role in the planning process, ensuring high-quality, sustainable development in line with the Development Plan and other relevant considerations. This is a new role created as part of our drive to improve our planning service. About the role You'll handle the more complex enforcement investigations of alleged breaches of planning control. Support the team in dealing with appeals and prosecutions. Make sure that unacceptable breaches of planning control are remedied in a timely manner and in accordance with Wiltshires planning enforcement strategy. Mentor less experienced staff in the enforcement team, offering guidance and supervision and supporting their professional development. Qualifications and Experience Recognised planning qualification (degree level) and eligible for membership of Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI). Expert Knowledge of planning practice, procedures legislation, advice and policies or historic building and conservation practice, procedures legislation, advice and policies. Demonstrable experience post-qualification experience working on complex planning matters within the public or private sector.
