About the Role:
We are recruiting for Neurodevelopmental Practitioners with a background in neurodevelopmental assessments to join our client’s expanding team. This role is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking flexible working options, with some remote aspects involved with a base out of Newcastle. The service supports children referred through NHS pathways for Autism and ADHD assessments, focusing on delivering high-quality diagnostics and post-diagnostic support.
In this role, you will conduct specialist neurodevelopmental assessments using recognised diagnostic tools for Autism and ADHD.
Your responsibilities will include writing detailed assessment reports with actionable recommendations and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Depending on experience, there may also be opportunities to mentor junior clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough neurodevelopmental assessments for Autism and ADHD, using established diagnostic criteria.
2. Produce professional, detailed reports following assessments.
3. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for patients.
4. Mentor and support junior clinicians, where relevant.
Qualifications:
1. HCPC registered / NMC Registered / Social Work England Registered
2. Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments for Autism and ADHD
3. Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and assessment tools
4. Ideally trained in ADOS-2 or ADI-R (preferred but not essential)
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
7. Experience in report writing and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
