An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Endoscopy Unit at Trafford General Hospital for an Endoscopy Sister/Charge Nurse. You should be a dynamic and experienced senior nurse with specific knowledge and skills of working in Endoscopy.

Endoscopic procedures will be carried out by Endoscopists who are adequately trained and deemed competent to the recommended standard approved by JAG and BSG National Guidelines for Practice.
As a Sister/Charge Nurse you will be responsible for co-ordinating on a day to day basis, assist in complex endoscopy procedures, planning, problem solving, using electronic rostering and staff allocations. As an expert in endoscopy you will be able to disseminate your knowledge and skills to the wider endoscopy workforce helping to maintain high standards of nursing care for our patients. Applications are invited from motivated and innovative nurses keen to be part of the development of our Endoscopy service.
With access to 4 procedure rooms, our procedures are varied and diverse and include diagnostics and therapeutics in gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, EBUS and Bronchoscopy. We also host the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme so there is a real range of specialisms to develop your skills and experience.
We are currently a 7 day service which has improved patient access and experience.
