Job Title: Drainage Engineer
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with enhanced overtime rates available)
Job Overview Vector is recruiting experienced Drainage Engineers on behalf of a leading Maintenance Services Provider that specializes in delivering comprehensive drainage solutions to domestic and commercial clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving drainage issues efficiently, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency & Reactive Call-Outs – Respond promptly to emergency and reactive drainage issues for a diverse range of clients.
- Drainage Maintenance & Repair – Conduct high-pressure water jetting, core cleaning, de-scaling, and CCTV surveys to assess and resolve drainage problems.
- Basic Plumbing Tasks – Carry out minor plumbing works such as removing toilets and urinals, replacing isolation valves, and repairing toilet components.
- Equipment Operation – Safely and effectively use Electro Mechanical and CCTV equipment to inspect and clear blockages.
- Compliance & Safety – Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Industry Experience – Proven experience in the drainage industry, particularly in diagnosing and resolving internal and external blockages.
- Technical Skills – Competence in operating Electro Mechanical and CCTV equipment, as well as performing minor plumbing tasks.
- Driving License – A full UK driving license with no more than six penalty points.
- Reliability & Time Management – Strong punctuality and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Problem-Solving Skills – Logical approach to identifying and resolving drainage issues.
