Our Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS) Runnymede and Spelthornee is looking for an Assistant Occupational Therapist.
We are a secondary mental health team who provides assessments for evidence-based, time-limited treatment and psychological interventions for adults with severe and enduring mental health issues. The focus of our whole service is promoting recovery and independence and developing self-management strategies to encourage people to achieve their potential in the community.
Your role is to provide accessible, high-quality, and evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to individuals, carers, and families.
The candidate must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community element of this role.

Person Specification
Experience and qualification
* Foundation Degree in Mental Health or related subject or psychology undergraduate qualification OR Level 3 qualification in a health-related area and experience of working in a health or care role (e.g., BTEC / NVQ Level 3 / Apprentice Level 3 in health-related area such as health and social care, public services) OR experience in a role delivering care in a mental health setting.
* Experience working/delivering occupational therapy interventions alongside an occupational therapist.
* Experience of working with mental health conditions or distressed behaviours would be an advantage for this role.
