You will join our Process Automation team based in Manchester within the Process Industries, Siemens. The team is a group of expert engineers responsible for producing high quality software solutions on time and within budget. As a team we are based in Manchester - West Didsbury (free parking) but are guided by our forward-thinking hybrid working policy, to balance working in the office 2-3 days a week combined with remote working. This role will report to the Engineering Manager and Industry areas that may be covered vary from Pharma, Food, Manufacturing, and Green technologies. You will create impact by: Technical production of high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. Be involved in the writing/co-ordination of Functional Design Specifications and associated documents. Be involved in the testing of all software produced and configuration of systems to satisfy the client's application. When working within a project team, ensure that all activities are co-ordinated with the designated Lead Engineer & project manager. Your success is grounded in: A good all-round knowledge and significant experience in Control Engineering. A qualification or equivalent experience in this area. Experience of software & electrical engineering in the Process Control and MES environments with demonstrable experience of PCS7 preferably on Version 8 and above. Experience of writing technical documents. Be highly motivated and work on their own initiative and within a team. What can we offer?
