We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Strategic Sourcing to join our growing Procurement team. Focusing on the core pipeline for procurement for goods, works and services across SNG, you'll lead procurement activities across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and internal requirements and best practice. Based from our head office in Basingstoke, you'll combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance. What you'll be doing Reporting into the Financial Planning, Procurement and Tax Director, this key role will lead a specialist resource team providing guidance and support across the organisation, promoting value for money, and ensuring procurement and contract standing order compliance. Main responsibilities include: Developing a strategic approach to relationships with procurement and other groups, working in partnership in order to achieve economies of scale and cost effectiveness Developing and maintaining framework agreements, as well as maintaining an overview of the timetable for the renewal and retendering of key contracts across the organisation Leading on the implementation of the new legislative requirements to ensure that SNG is ready and able to comply with the new requirements by the implementation deadline Reporting to the executive board, committees and boards on compliance against external standards, contract standing orders, deferrals, exceptions and value for money performance Managing the Strategic sourcing team with a focus on articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement Researching and developing new procurement initiatives and where appropriate develop initiatives into mainstream processes What we need from you You should have demonstrable experience in a similar senior leadership role within procurement, with strong understanding of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
