About The Role The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for our customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer data, and other sources (i.e. Nielsen or other syndicated consumer data). The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organisation. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in the Sales and Marketing teams. A vital part of your role will be building and maintaining strong relationships with our key customers, working collaboratively on forecasts, promotions, events and range reviews. Our customers and consumers are so important for us and we must always put them at the forefront of what we do. Your main responsibilities will be: Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results Measure & monitor demand forecasting KPIs and work with Sales teams to drive improvements in accuracy, bias, working capital and customer service. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions Developing strong relationships and partnerships with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool Develop tools, systems & reports for improving demand planning and forecast accuracy Work within the wider supply chain and production team to develop best practices and share knowledge. As part of S&OP, you will be responsible for conducting the monthly Forecast clinics with your sales partner, during which forecast is positively challenged, promotions reviewed and planned, Risk and Opportunities identified. Responsible for managing the post clinic template outputs to explain forecast building blocks on previous year, gap to budgets and forward assumptions. Be commercially and financially aware and understand the budget for designed key accounts and the overall strategy Forge in depth relationships with assigned Key customers in all matters of forecasting, order fulfilment and supply chain to include: Collaborations and sharing of data on promotional forecasts, range reviews, all matters of new listings, NPD launches or obsolescence Reflect customer demand requirements as well as phasing of orders into the shipment forecast plan to maximise On Shelf Availability. Lead 3/6/9 forecast meetings Responsible for availability at DC-Item level Identify & deliver specific Customer Service project work and find opportunities to improve joint KPIs Responsible for the joint supply chain plan of our key customers, which will be centred around improvement of ways of working, KPIs and unlocking efficiencies Proactively work with other supply chain and sales functions to achieve a seamless flow of product to the end consumer About You It is Highly desirable that you have experience of working in the FMCG industry with a proven track record of supply chain, demand planning and customer collaboration You must also be advanced in Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office Microsoft applications. Experience in using demand planning systems and other ERP systems is highly desired. Key skills and qualities required for this role are: Highly organised with exceptional time management skills.
