Your new role We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join the school community. As a Maths Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping students’ understanding of mathematical concepts, fostering their curiosity, and helping them achieve academic success. This position is available for a September start and will continue on an ongoing basis with the possibility of being extended into a new term. Responsibilities: Curriculum Planning: Develop engaging and well-structured lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum. Ensure that lessons cater to the needs of students aged 11 to 16. Effective Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction, making complex mathematical concepts accessible to students. Use a variety of teaching methods to engage learners. Assessment and Feedback: Administer quizzes, tests, and assignments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their progress. Classroom Management: Create a positive and safe learning environment. Manage student behaviour effectively. Differentiation: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Differentiate instruction as necessary. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities. Collaborate on curriculum development. Monitoring Progress: Track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement interventions as needed. Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress. Professional Development: Stay informed about educational trends, attend workshops, and engage in continuous professional growth. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
