Job summary We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated nurse to work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to the delivery of HIV services. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that delivers the highest standards of care to this group of patients both in and out of a hospital setting. The purpose of this role is to act as a professional resource to people with HIV, their families and carers and other health care professionals. Location: Stonegrove Centre is the new integrated service of both the E3 Outpatients clinic and the A Floor clinic. The appointee will manage the care of patients and provide education and advice in all aspects of HIV infection. in addition they will be expected to people manage the nursing workforce.They must have knowledge and understanding of HIV issues, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated, a team player and demonstrate strong leadership skills. The post requires a high degree of autonomous working as well as working with external agencies and within the multi-disciplinary team. Main duties of the job Provide specialist nursing intervention so that specific needs of the patient are addressed Provide advice and support to all members of the multi-disciplinary team in the care of patients with HIV at any stage in their disease and to liaise closely with the team so that the patients experience is seamless and of a high standard.
