We are looking for a Deputy manager who has an active and hands on approach to support the Nursery Manager in supporting staff and delivery of learning Development care for children at the nursery.
As a Deputy Manager, you are to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery; effectively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery; deliver the highest standards of care and education. To play a key role in marketing the Nursery to prospective parents, attend and participate in Open Day events, etc.
Meeting the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements, Compliance with all regulatory requirements etc
Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understands and, when necessary, follow Safeguarding Procedures.
Support the development of good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
Adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures and be responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications and Health and Safety training.
Induct, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
The Deputy manager at this group of small nurseries is focused on staff practice and the delivery of outstanding childcare and support to staff under the Ofsted's guidelines and the Statutory Framework.
We have full time Group Office manager and administrator in addition to nursery managers that work on admin and paperwork for the nursery including following up on enquiries and sending and signing of new contracts. Also the hiring ad recruitment is done centrally by the Group Operations and Group HR Manager. The Nursery managers therefore do not deal with admin tasks of recruitment, admin, enquiries etc.
