Overview of the role
As our Finance Analyst your purpose will be to provide the relevant financial and analytical support to aid and guide decision making within Finance, Property and Portfolio teams and drive improved investment decision making within the business. You will make financial projections based on markets and trends.
This role is offered on a 9 month fixed term contract. We offer hybrid working, with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office.
Main Responsibilities
1. Facilitate the budget and forecast process, supporting Central budgets including exceptional costs, CAPEX, depreciation, and others. During the budgeting process, you will partner with your manager, Head of FP&A, in consolidating budgets and overseeing the figures for the entire business.
2. Conduct market share and competitor benchmarking analysis for Retail & Wholesale by updating financial accounts from Companies House for all competitors and benchmarking their performance. These reports are then shared and presented to the CFO and CEO, as well as Wholesale and Retail operational directors.
3. Participate in NDA projects working with the FP&A Head, CFO, Legal team, and any external finance or legal advisors. You will perform market scanning for new M&A opportunities and utilize your financial modeling and analytical skills to build business cases and present new opportunities to the business.
4. Manage monthly reporting and tracking of synergies and integration costs by consolidating figures from different teams across the company (Operations, IT, Buying, Procurement, and People team, as well as Margin and Retail business partners) and addressing queries from key stakeholders.
5. Support the Head of FP&A in updating monthly board packs, including monthly business KPIs, P&Ls, Capex, and addressing any queries that may arise from the board.
6. Review exceptional costs of the business as part of the monthly process, keeping records of postings and instructing the support team in Pakistan to accrue where necessary.

Key knowledge and skills required:
1. ACCA or CIMA part qualified or experience qualified.
2. Advanced Excel skills, analytical skills, and good attention to detail.
3. Strong communication and presentation skills.
