Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for an Engineering Assurance Manager on a permanent basis, based in Warwick or Wokingham.
Role Summary
1. Delivering audits of complex engineering processes operated by our client. Supervising the delivery of audits performed by other team members as the team grows.
2. Leading the delivery of audits of cross-vector processes (electricity, methane and hydrogen) as our client assumes greater responsibilities.
3. Providing through-life assurance that process changes and engineering projects are set up for success.
4. Supporting the Engineering Assurance Senior Manager in implementing and auditing compliance within the company Engineering Standards, and in coaching new team members.
5. Monitoring developments within and across industry in order to build the annual assurance plan.
Skills
1. Technical knowledge and understanding of power systems and electrical engineering, coupled with a reasonable understanding of legislative requirements relevant to the electricity supply industry.
2. Working knowledge of all energy vectors and their role in building whole energy systems, and a desire to grow that knowledge.
3. Experience of designing and implementing controls to mitigate process risks, as well as experience of identifying and sharing technical/procedural best practice.
4. Knowledge of ‘assurance’ activities and audit management processes, risk management techniques, as well as experience of utilising analytics to develop positive business outcomes.
5. Proven experience in rapidly picking up new concepts, is skilled at putting auditees at ease, rigorous in assessing evidence, experienced in collaborative working, persuasive in articulating the need for improved control, and proficient in effective report writing.
6. Experience of identifying and developing high-performing talent.
7. An engineering degree, or equivalent, with Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards).
