This is a great new opportunity for an ambitious part qualified/finalist Management Accountant, looking for a step into a new challenge, that will offer clear and structured progression to a Finance Manager position once you qualify!This is a newly created role due to further significant growth for this fantastic Harrogate based SME.The role will report directly to the Financial Director, and will initially join the small finance team and take responsibility for assisting with producing the day to day accounting management accounts and analysis for one business unit.The key duties of the role will include:
* Assisting in the production of management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
* Budgeting and cashflow forecasting.
* Ensuring posting of monthly results into the ledger, creating strong controls
* Assisting in board reporting.
* Developing appropriate policies, procedures and identifying opportunities to improve and streamline processes.
* Responsible for ensuring finance systems are compliant, efficient and fit for business purpose.
* Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
The successful candidate will:
* Be Part Qualified/Finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a minimum of 2 years experience in a management accounting role - Essential
* Have a good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software packages - Essential
* Have previously experience of Sage - Desirable
