Job Description:
PPM Recruitment is recruiting for a Planning Assistant in the Grimsby area.
Duties include:
* Undertake validation of planning applications, including checking plans, forms, and fees.
* Assist in processing minor and other planning applications from submission to recommendation, including conducting site visits, liaising with customers, and preparing accurate reports.
* Respond to pre-application enquiries promptly.
* Support the team in achieving contract performance targets.
* Provide excellent customer service to a diverse range of customers of the planning service.
* Undertake other duties reasonably expected at this level to support the delivery of the planning function.
Experience required:
* Previous experience working in an office environment with front-line customer service experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of office systems, routines, and processes.
* Understanding of health and safety compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in IT including databases and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
* Knowledge of working in a planning environment is desirable.
