Finance Operations Analyst

Location: Edinburgh (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)
Salary: A competitive salary from £32,400 - £40,500 depending on the experience you can bring

We are looking for a finance Operations analyst to join us on a permanent basis. In this role you will help to support the business to manage their reconciliation processes including supporting the technical aspects of automated reconciliation software, by ensuring daily feeds are delivered for the start of the day, ensuring system performance is working at optimum whilst ensuring quality data is used. You will also review current processes and logic for improvement. Using your technical knowledge, you will support the wider department on more complex breaks and queries. You will also support the delivery of future development.
Alongside this, you will support local and corporate initiatives, covering operational, accounting and reconciliation processes. You will be responsible for documenting requirements, testing new development, supporting implementation, and ensuring business readiness is completed across a wide variety of initiatives. You will lead the partnership with key stakeholders to reduce financial risks and exposures in relation to key processes and represent Financial Operations ensuring all risks, controls, and accounting are captured.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking
* Experience of SQL and logic rule writing
* Knowledge of banking processes and systems
* Experience of Financial Services general ledger and technical accounting having worked in a Finance environment, including pensions and investments
* Technical knowledge and development experience of automated reconciliation software
* Experience in being a self-motivated team member who demonstrates good collaboration across teams, willing to take the lead in delivery
* Experience of Excel VBA
* Experience of Power Automate or other RPA tools
