A bit about the role Clifton Road is dedicated to assisting Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Young People through outreach services in their homes and communities. We offer personalised one-on-one support to foster their independence throughout the asylum process. Our assistance encompasses a variety of activities, from culinary guidance and city navigation to help with legal matters, educational pursuits, and emotional wellbeing. In addition, we cater to individuals aged 16 to 21 in a residential environment. As part of our residential team, you'll contribute to creating more fulfilling lives for children, young people, and their families by implementing and delivering targeted interventions that align with our organisational standards and regulatory guidelines. The Clifton Road care service is committed to supporting young adults aged 16 to 21 who have experienced care, such as in local authority children's homes, foster care, or secure residential facilities. We offer a supportive residential setting, providing a spectrum of services tailored to meet each individual's needs. This is done in collaboration with various agencies to enhance the life prospects of these young people and aid them in achieving autonomous living. As an Outreach Residential Support Worker, the primary focus of your role will be to deliver extensive outreach support to our unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. How you'll help to create brighter futures Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc. Implement and support individualised care plans for young people and conduct needs assessments and manage potential risks. Handle the administration of medication and clinical procedures. Provide emotional and social support and aid in developing independent living skills among children and young people. Ideally you will have: Demonstrable experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust Application of a range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
