To work within a team of staff to provide a comprehensive financial advice and support service to budget holders, ensuring that accurate financial information is produced on a timely basis and in accordance with professional financial standards.
The postholder will primarily provide support one Clinical Business Units working directly with the finance team and various operational colleagues for the CBU the role encompasses robust production of monthly reporting via the ledger system, ensuring data integrity and timeliness, and advice and training to budget holders in understanding their finances
The postholder will also provide support to corporate trust-wide financial management functions (including cross-cover when necessary) and participate in maintaining and developing financial management systems and processes

As a Senior Finance assistant, you will be responsible for the delivery of robust monthly reporting and provision of financial advice and training to key members of the Corporate / R&D Teams, thus supporting sound financial management in the Trust. A professional approach and attention to detail are key as are excellent time management skills.
We are looking for someone with relevant management accounts experience or qualification, who is reliable and pro-active, who can evidence work of a high standard, communicate well and show commitment to achieving their own goals and those of the Trust.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant, perhaps someone who is undertaking studies towards full professional accountancy qualification.
