We have a fantastic opportunity for a Part Time Treatment Plant Operator, to join our thriving Geoteam in our Groundwater Treatment Plant in Helpston.
The Team
The treatment plant is a biological process and the Operator would ideally have experience and a knowledge of water treatment processes, together with a general understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
The treatment plant is manned every day of the year and the role will involve operating the plant in a shift pattern of 6 days on and 8 days off, including weekends and bank holidays. Working hours are from 08:00am to 16:30 with a 1-hour lunch break (equivalent to a total of 22.5 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
* Operating the treatment plant using the on-site SCADA system;
* Taking water samples throughout the treatment process and conducting on-site testing;
* Scheduling water samples for laboratory testing;
* Reviewing results and adjusting the treatment process accordingly;
* Undertaking plant and equipment inspections;
* General house-keeping;
* On-call/response to alarms outside of normal working hours;
* Reporting back to the Project Manager.
In addition to the above, the Operator needs to be enthusiastic, motivated and a good team worker as the role will involve liaising with all members of the project team.
