A few of our employee benefits are: - Hybrid working where possible - 60% onsite presence across a month - Half day finish on a Friday - 25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days - Private medical insurance with optional family cover - Pension scheme of up to 7% employer contribution - Life Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x) - Group income protection - Flexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan, dental insurance, gym membership, critical illness cover and cycle to work scheme - Employee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing support What the role will involve The responsibilities of your role will include the following: - EHS and Facilities Management responsibility covering 4 of L3Harris's UK sites - Act as the competent person, on behalf of the Maritime UK Environmental accountable leader, for Health and Safety and Facilities Management ensuring that all regulatory and legal requirements and standards are met and adhered to across all sites - Maintain the Maritime UK EHS & Facilities Management process document set within the Business Management System - Raise the profile of health and safety and risk to the UK and Corporate Senior Leaders and Management Team on the implications of current and emerging health safety and welfare legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations and generating actions plans to ensure legal compliance across the UK - Maintain Health and Safety across all sites by supporting the internal audit programme, managing risk assessments and safety walks ensuring a clean and safe working environment in compliance with policies and best practice. - Maintain ISO45001 (Health and Safety) and ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) accreditations - Promote Environmental and Sustainability targets and initiatives including employee awareness training and Green Team events - Maintain statutory records, legal registers and corporate EHS reporting requirements including actively tracking findings and actions to closure in a timely manner - Manage Maritime UK Facilities Service and Maintenance contracts ensuring all planned, preventative and corrective activities are carried out in accordance with Service Level Agreements and in a timely manner in adherence to legal, relevant H&S and Environmental and ethical standards and regulations. - Supervise EHS and Facilities representatives at Maritime UK sites to ensure responsibilities are met on a day-to-day basis - Collaborate with the Quality Department to: - Assess process suitability, performance and adherence through internal audit activity iaw QMS policy - Monitor incidents and responses ensuring feedback and lessons are captured and shred across the business - Ensure business processes meet the requirements for continued ISO certification - Contribute the continuous development and maintenance of a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS ) What you'll bring The role requires the following experience and skills: - Significant working knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and standards - A proven track record of utilizing appropriate tools and techniques in delivering measurable effective and efficient EHS and Facilities Management including statutory and corporate compliance reporting - Working knowledge of REACH, RoHS and COSHH standards and compliance - Working knowledge of SECR and ESOS compliance and reporting - Experienced in the production, review and performance analysis of EHS & Facility Management processes - Experience of managing external suppliers and contract performance - Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage vertically and horizontally, liaise with customers and external bodies - Effective communicator, able to engage with and brief key stakeholders and senior management Important to know Applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment must meet the requirement of right to work in the UK and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to government security checks.
