Job overview
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in the West Kent EIP Service, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality clinical service.
The West Kent EIP service is aligned with 26 GP+ surgeries spanning from Borough Green, bordering Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Staplehurst, Marden & Headcorn bordering on to Ashford.
The team is made up of Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialty Doctors, Nurses, OTs, Psychologists, Support Workers and Admin staff and provides a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment service for people from age 14 to 65 years old.
Main duties of the job
1. To participate in annual appraisal for Consultants.
2. To participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service.
3. To work with local managers and professional colleagues in ensuring the efficient running of services, and share with consultant colleagues in the medical contribution to management.
4. To attend and participate in the academic programme of the Trust, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD programme.
