Brief Description
To work with the supported business leadership team, under the direction of the Head/Senior HR Business Partner to deliver the business aligned People Plan/HR strategy and provide coaching and support to members of the supported leadership team. Provides pro-active, value add HR support to the supported business leaders across the function/route on medium term and operational people issues.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Implement and deliver the HR Strategy/People Plan to include talent, succession planning, and change management to support the delivery of business objectives and drive a high performance culture.
2. Build strong relationships with members of the supported business senior leadership team and other relevant stakeholders. Coach, advise and challenge business leaders on HR issues as required.
3. Provide operational HR support on organizational change, senior appointments, salary and bonus, graduate or apprentice programmes.
4. Deliver client responsive, cost effective and integrated people solutions that address key business objectives.
5. Reinforce the ownership of people management by the business and line managers.
6. Work with the broader HR function to provide the best solutions for the business.
7. Support the business in delivering solutions with appropriate Union representatives.
8. Liaise with HR Business Partners in other areas of the business for collaborative efforts on cross business issues.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
1. Demonstrates strong business/commercial approach and understanding of business needs.
2. Proven experience of working in partnership with senior managers.
3. Passionate about customer service with a track record of business deliverables.
4. Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions.
5. Experience of coaching and influencing senior managers.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
7. Understands how to work with the business to identify, develop and retain talent.
8. Excellent technical HR knowledge - CIPD qualified or relevant experience.
9. Proven track record of operating in complex environments.
10. Involvement in organizational change programmes.
11. Graduate calibre.

1. MCIPD/post-graduate human resources qualification.
