Job Summary:\nWe are looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Executive to join a growing team in the legal education and training sector. Your main responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities by promoting a wide range of government-funded legal apprenticeship programmes (including Paralegal, Solicitor (SQE), CILEX, and Conveyancing) to law firms and other relevant organisations across England.\nYou will manage the entire sales process—from identifying leads to closing deals—and play a key role in expanding market reach and revenue.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProactively generate new leads through outbound calling (120+ calls per day), email campaigns, and professional networking.\nQualify leads, identifying key decision-makers (HR Managers, Partners, Practice Managers, Training Principals) and understanding their apprenticeship needs.\nBook and conduct high-quality sales meetings (target: 4+ per day), presenting apprenticeship solutions effectively.\nBuild a solid understanding of apprenticeship programmes, ESFA funding rules, and qualification pathways (including SQE).\nMaintain accurate CRM records—tracking all activity, conversations, and deal stages.\nHandle objections with confidence and clearly communicate the value of the offering.\nMeet and exceed KPIs, including call volumes, meetings booked, and sign-ups.\nEstablish strong relationships with prospective clients and collaborate with internal teams.\nStay informed on industry trends, funding changes, and competitor activity.\nRequired Skills & Experience (Must-Haves):\nAt least 2 years of B2B sales experience in a target-driven environment (ideally selling services/solutions).\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.\nConfident in telephone and video call-based selling (Teams/Zoom/email).\nResilient and target-focused, with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.\nAbility to adopt a consultative sales approach, understanding client needs.\nIT literate and comfortable using CRM systems (Pipedrive experience is a plus), Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word).\nExcellent time management and organisation skills.\nDesirable Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):\nExperience selling apprenticeships or working with government-funded training.\nKnowledge of the UK legal sector or experience selling into professional services.\nBackground in education, training, or professional development sales.\nPersonal Attributes:\nSelf-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to succeed.\nProfessional, credible, and able to quickly build rapport.\nFast learner, capable of understanding complex services and funding models.\nAdaptable and open to change in a fast-paced environment.\nPositive and enthusiastic, with a good sense of humour.\nA true team player who contributes to a collaborative working culture.\nWhat We Offer:\n£30,000 basic salary\nUncapped commission structure – realistic OTE up to £50,000\nNo weekends or bank holidays\nGenerous annual leave including Christmas closure\nPrivate healthcare and pension scheme\nComprehensive training and support\nLong-term career progression in a growing business\nFriendly, supportive, and ambitious working environment
