Job summary We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team on a Temporary 15 months full time basis (37.5 hours per week). You will provide secretarial and administrative support to all GP's, Health professionals and colleagues. Main duties of the job To provide a comprehensive diligent and accurate secretarial service to the GPs and other practice staff. Process e-referrals via ERS (routine and urgent) audio and copy typing, clinical correspondence/reports; answering patients and hospital staff telephone queries, following up hospital letters and results, dealing with insurance companies and solicitors. Maintain knowledge of the referral pathways and process for GPs providing guidance and advice to all clinicians. Good organisation and administration skills are required. The role is really varied, interesting and demanding. EMIS clinic system experience is essential for this role. To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries. Support MDT in liaising with multiple agencies to coordinate care for patients. Carry out system searches as requested. Maintain a clean, tidy, tidy, effective working area at all times.
