Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: B28 (Hall Green, Birmingham)
Start date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time
Pay: £85-100 (per day, dependent upon experiences)
A mainstream secondary school in the Hall Green area of Birmingham are seeking a passionate teaching assistant on a full time basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a teaching assistant or a learning support assistant within a UK school.
Person Specification:
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant role
- Experience working with children in an educational/care setting
- Previous experience/knowledge of special educational needs (this includes personal experience, i.e. family members)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Job Role/Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist support for students on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Work closely with students with special educational needs
- Follow guidance of main class teacher but also show initiative and independence
- Uphold schools policies and procedures at all times
- Ensure safeguarding is at the centre of everything you do
