The role:
Develop and deliver comprehensive religious studies curriculum, incorporating diverse religious traditions and their historical, cultural, and ethical aspects
Teach students about the beliefs, rituals, scriptures, and teachings of different religions
Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages open dialogue and appreciation of diverse religious perspectives
Plan and deliver engaging lessons, utilising a variety of teaching strategies and resources
Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and ethical reasoning in students' exploration of religious topics
Lead class discussions and facilitate respectful debates on religious and ethical issues
Provide guidance and support to students in their personal spiritual development and exploration of their own beliefs
The Ideal Candidate:
QTS or relevant teaching experience is preferred
In-depth knowledge of multiple religious traditions and their historical and cultural contexts
Strong understanding of religious ethics, philosophies, and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse religious beliefs and perspectives
Passion for teaching and a commitment to students' intellectual and spiritual growth
