The role: -
As a panel wirer, you will be responsible for the wiring and fitting of the company's instrumentation panels destined to be installed into HV Electricity Substations throughout the UK. The role will be based at our workshop in Dalgety Bay, Fife working 40 hrs per week 0730 to 1800, Monday to Thursday. On occasion, you will be expected to accompany our engineers to site to assist with their installation and commissioning works.
Responsibilities: -
To be able to follow AutoCAD general arrangements and wiring diagrams
To build and fit out new panels as well as modify existing installations
Be skilled in the use of power tools for drilling, cutting and hole punching
Be capable in the use of multi-meter and insulation testing equipment
Assist with on-site cable pulling, glanding and termination of SWA type cables
To work with our designers in helping to specify and source materials
Basic requirements
Minimum NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
City & Guilds 18th Edition
Introduction to BS7671 18th Edition
Experience in fault finding and inspection testing
Awareness of Health & Safety Regulations
Ability to work on own initiative and liaise with clients and other contractors.
Legal Right to Work in the UK
Current UK clean drivers license

Our company designs and builds instrumentation solutions for the UK's electricity transmission network. This includes the supply of advanced monitoring equipment to be used in electricity network performance monitoring as required by OFGEM.
We currently have a full order book taking us beyond 2028.

Day shift, 4-days per week 0730 to 1800. Needs to be flexible where site work is required
Factory based but with the opportunity to travel throughout the UK using company vans.
