Entier Ltd are currently accepting applications for future chefs to join our award-winning apprenticeship programme.
We are currently recruiting for a Fresh Olive Chef (Apprentice), which will initially be based at our site in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. However, the role will involve working across a variety of our sites to provide varied experiences.
This position is 37.5 hours per week, 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
In this role you will be involved with all aspects of food preparation and delivery, where your involvement will develop as you progress through your apprenticeship. You will also learn and develop valuable customer service skills as you gain experience working within the hospitality and catering environment.
You will commence a 3-year programme which allows you to undertake your SVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery (Preparation and Cookery) qualification, as well as taking part in master classes and additional training and development opportunities which will allow you to become a fully trained Chef.
As a Fresh Olive Chef, you will experience hands-on and real-life experiences of working in a variety of kitchens in and around Aberdeen.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
* Assist with the preparation of food in any area of the Entier business (this will develop as you progress throughout your apprenticeship).
* Assist with deliveries as required and be aware of stock rotation and incoming product record sheet.
* Work at various units throughout the business.
* Support with all areas in a kitchen including peeling and chopping fruit and vegetables, helping with pot wash, etc.
* Support with Entier events as and when required.
* Understand the importance of food safety systems and follow company procedures as instructed by experienced members of the team.
* Gain an in-depth understanding of the Entier policies and procedures ensuring safety practices are adhered to at all times.
* Support with preparation of events including van packing and food prep.
