We are seeking an inspirational and ambitious Head of Sports Science to join our team in September 2025. As Head of Sports Science, you will lead a talented and dedicated team of educators, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment that encourages both staff and pupils to excel. You will bring a clear vision and enthusiasm for the learning and teaching of Sports Science, guiding the department as it expands its offerings and achievements.
About the Department
The Sports Science Department is young but thriving, having successfully introduced GCSE Sports Science and expanded its pupil numbers significantly. With approximately 100 pupils currently taking the GCSE across both year groups and the first A-level cohort set for assessment in June 2026, the department is poised for further growth. We follow the AQA specification at both GCSE and A-level.
The team is experienced, passionate, and committed to delivering the highest standards of education, ensuring outstanding outcomes for all pupils.
