Support Worker (Mental Health) Location: Bolton, BL1 Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: starting £24,000 DOE About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their mental health journey? We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to provide person-centred care for individuals with mental health conditions, helping them build confidence, independence, and resilience. If you believe in empowering others and making a real difference, this could be the perfect role for you What You’ll Do: Support & Wellbeing: Assist individuals with daily activities, emotional wellbeing, and coping strategies to promote independent living. Leadership: Mentor and support your team, take the lead in the manager’s absence, and help onboard new staff. Communication: Work closely with individuals, families, and professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to mental health care. Safety & Advocacy: Ensure a safe and supportive environment, follow best practices, and advocate for the rights and needs of service users. Record-Keeping & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date care plans, assist with audits, and contribute to service improvements. What We’re Looking For: ✅ Essential: Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and active listening skills. A full driving licence (with business insurance) and willingness to drive a minibus. Flexibility to take on-call duties. ✨ Nice to Have: Knowledge of mental health recovery models and support planning. Experience in crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
