N528 - NQSW Social Worker Role Profile
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Social Workers to join our Integrated Safeguarding Team. Safeguarding means protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. It is about people and organisations working together to prevent and address both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect, while promoting the adult’s wellbeing by considering their views, wishes, feelings, and beliefs in decision-making.
About us
In Plymouth, we have integrated our Adult Social Care and Community Health services, provided by Livewell Southwest CIC. Plymouth City Council has an established team of Social Workers and Community Care Workers responsible for delivering essential functions, including the statutory duty to safeguard adults from abuse or neglect. Our Adult Safeguarding Pathway is being developed to create a seamless response for Plymouth Residents.
Our Safeguarding Team has a vacancy for a Social Worker to contribute to delivering our safeguarding duty for the people of Plymouth.
Plymouth is the UK’s Ocean City, benefiting from proximity to the coast, beautiful beaches, and Dartmoor national park, while enjoying the fullness of city life, including 3 universities and a multitude of recreational, leisure, and shopping opportunities.
