A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor to join an established team. This is an ideal role for a skilled professional looking to contribute to exciting projects and provide ongoing support to clients across a variety of sectors in the UK.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of buildings in sectors including education, commercial, and industrial to assess their condition.
* Identify and diagnose building defects, such as structural issues, damp, and fire safety concerns.
* Provide detailed reports on building conditions, recommending necessary repairs and maintenance.
* Advise clients on the suitability of building materials, construction methods, and renovation plans.
* Provide expert guidance on compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
* Oversee and manage construction or renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
* Ensure properties comply with local building codes, planning regulations, and health and safety laws.
* Advise on planning applications and building permits
* Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and offer recommendations
Key Skills and Experience:
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* BSc in Building Surveying or a similar qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Practical understanding of commercial property.
* Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong problem:solving skills and a strategic approach.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Proactive and able to work independently.
* Full UK driving licence.
