This role, based in West Lancashire, offers a unique opportunity to manage financial operations within an engineering environment. What you will do: Oversee financial aspects of the business. Maintain and expand banking relationships. Ensure local statutory audit and tax compliance. Indirectly manage department heads in the shared service center. Analyse business and market risks to support strategic decision-making. Manage monthly financials, financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and control. Financial Management and Reporting. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Managing Director. Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Oversee production of local statutory accounts and timely completion of audits. Manage month-end reporting, ensuring key financial metrics are reviewed and approved. Prepare variance analysis and recommendations on monthly financial figures. Strategic Financial Analysis Analyse financial information to produce business forecasts. Evaluate new business proposals and their economic impact. Coordinate with the Regional Treasury manager on short-term cash flows. Manage legal entities, ensuring P&L control and balance sheet risk management. Compliance and Process Improvement Ensure internal control and compliance with Group Policies and Procedures. Lead process improvement initiatives. Participate in relevant projects and Group activities as needed What you will have: Fully qualified CIMA with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience. Working knowledge of IFRS & SAGE. Ability to handle audit and tax queries. Excellent communication skills. Confidence in challenging existing processes and upholding standards.
