Job summary
This post is a fantastic opportunity to work on Cubley Court. We are an 18 bedded unit based in Derby for older women with a diagnosed dementia.
The post is a permanent post for a qualified Band 4 Nursing Associate who would be interested supporting patients with their physical and mental health needs in an inpatient setting.
The post holder will be supported by both the clinical lead and manager of the team and will receive regular supervision and support within you role, including appraisals.
The post holder will be working as part of a friendly team of nurses, medics, nursing assistants, occupational therapists and physios. Additionally, the post holder will also sometimes act as the third qualified staff member on a shift.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be committed to developing and maintaining good working relationships with all members of our team.
The post holder will be expected to engage in the audit process for the trust and be able to have good IT skills to record appropriate records in a timely manner.
Motivated to maintaining high standards in a changing service
To perform blood tests, basic observations, administer medication, carry out bladder scans, ECG's and other tasks as required.
Ability to assess capacity to consent and take appropriate action where required.
To maintain high levels of infection control.
