Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
South Wigston, Leicester
Up to £50k plus bonus and overtime (DOE)
3 x 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday (mornings, afternoons, nights, with shorter shifts with earlier finish times on Friday. The latest finish time on Fridays is 8:45 pm). We are also recruiting a weekend Shift Engineer, 3 shifts per week.

The business is a global American owned manufacturer with precision CNC machining processes in operation serving defense, power, and aerospace sectors. There is a wide range of equipment on site including multi axis grinding, milling, surface grinding, robotics, and lasers.
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with electrical qualifications and working knowledge and experience in mechanical maintenance to support the ongoing proactive and reactive maintenance of company plant machinery. The role offers a good mix of planned and reactive work while also allowing for contribution to site improvements and asset maintenance through the application of reliability centered maintenance practices.
You will be working in both a team and individual capacity to deliver the site maintenance and improvement service, prioritising maintenance requirements and allowing for continuous fault-free manufacturing.
Safety is at the forefront of everything at the site; you would be expected to support the application of safe working practices and systems. The company onboarding processes are designed to set you up for success and include up to 3 months shadowing and working alongside our lead engineer for the site before moving onto your own shift pattern.
What you will need:
1. Formal qualifications in electrical engineering or electrical maintenance.
2. Proven industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience.
3. Proven experience in AD / DC servo drives.
4. Fault finding on control systems.
5. Strong diagnostic skills.
6. Pneumatic and hydraulic experience gained from a multi-skilled environment.
7. Mechanical maintenance skills (rebuilding of spindles, bearing replacement, diagnosing problems) would be advantageous but are not essential.

1. A competitive salary, up to Circa £50k dependent on experience (inclusive of allowances).

3. A basic 37 hour week before breaks over Monday to Friday including mornings, afternoons, and nights rotating. The role is subject to an earlier and shorter shift on Fridays.
