Our Client Hertfordshire Council is looking for a Registered Manager for their Children's Home.
Starting Salary: 50k rising to 55k after 6 months probation.
Can work one day from home but will be expected to be in office 4 days a week.
Bonus for a 'good' and 'outstanding' rating - 1k for good, 2k for outstanding.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with management referrals into the service from various sources.
2. Ensure all children & young people in residence at the home are risk and needs assessed, with regular reviews and updates.
3. Provide high quality support and transition services to young people, in line with service specifications/placement plans required by relevant local authorities.
4. Safeguard children & young people through sound management strategies, collaborative working with external agencies and emergency services, and compliance with local authority safeguarding procedures.
5. Assist with the management of Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Support Workers within the Home.
6. Facilitate the development of inclusion opportunities and activities for children & young people, working towards improving outcomes for accommodated children and young people.
7. Ensure the Home operates in accordance with legislations, standards, and guidance (e.g., Children's Home Regulations 2015, Care Standards Act 2000, National Minimum Standards for children's home).
8. Promote the participation of children and young people in the running of the home, including encouraging feedback and views, facilitating meetings, and responding to complaints professionally.
