Core Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Clinical Support
* Assist radiographers with patient preparation, including safety screening, initial instructions, and positioning.
* Provide hands-on assistance during imaging procedures, including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and X-ray under radiology staff supervision.
* Support with intravenous cannula insertion/removal and post-procedure patient care.
* Conduct baseline health checks, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and ECG placement, while documenting patient measurements.
Administrative Duties
* Accurately input patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) promptly.
* Capture procedure details and aid in departmental documentation.
* Coordinate with Bookings and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain clean, stocked changing areas, including appropriate patient attire.
General Duties
* Commit to ongoing professional development to stay updated on imaging technologies and patient care standards.
* Complete mandatory training, including health and safety protocols and patient confidentiality.
Compliance and Safety
* Adhere to UME Health policies, focusing on patient safety and infection control.
* Support quality improvement efforts and help meet regulatory compliance.
* Report incidents or risks to the Imaging Manager.
Key Performance Indicators
* Meet objectives outlined in performance reviews.
* Uphold UME Health standards and objectives.
* Receive satisfactory performance feedback from peers.
* Comply with CQC requirements.
* Achieve positive patient satisfaction scores.
* Satisfactory audit and clinical documentation.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Special Training
* Minimum GCSE-level education or equivalent required.
* NVQ Level 3/4 in Healthcare or related qualification preferred.
* Additional certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or ECG competency is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
* Basic understanding of imaging modalities and medical terminology.
* Clinical experience within healthcare, ideally in radiology or imaging.
* Experience in a private healthcare or NHS setting is desirable.
Personal Attributes
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility in a busy environment.
* Effective time management, organizational skills, and accuracy in administrative tasks.
