Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Knowledge and experience: Must possess a national vocational qualification in direct care at Level 2 as a minimum and have worked in an area of care.
2. Essential skills:-
Promotes equality and anti-discriminatory practice for all individuals.
Contributes to the ongoing support of patients/clients and their relatives and friends.
Contributes to the health, safety and security of individuals and their environment.
Assist with obtaining, transmitting and storing information related to the delivery of a care service.
Assist and enable patients/clients to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance.
Participate in the assessment of care needs and the implementation of programmes of care under the direction of a qualified nurse.
Contribute to maintaining effective communication between patients/clients, relatives and friends and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
* Education at secondary school Level or equivalent
* Completed NVQ training Level 2 health and social care
* Additional skills to perform observations
Experience
* Recent relevant experience in a healthcare setting
