This is a unique opportunityfor atherapistwithextensiveexperience in physical health needstoteamlead in a hospital-based environment.In thishands-on roleyou’llhave your own caseload,howeveryourmain focuswill be supervising a team of OTs handling complex cases.
Working Pattern and ServiceOperatingHours
Working hours are Monday to Friday,8-4, with flexible working arrangements considered.We welcome both full-time and part-time applications (from 30 hours per week).

About the Job
• The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the east of Berkshire.
• You will supervise the team on a day-to-day basis.
• You willprovide clinical leadership and specialist advice, through supervisionofmore junior staff,MultiTherapy Assistants, support workers and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Toidentifyservice developments,andcontribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
• Tobe responsible fora highly complexcaseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach.
• Foster key relationships with various healthcare teams, including acute care, secondary care, primary care and GPs, intermediate care teams & social services, clinical governance & patient safety managers community matrons, case managers and district nurses.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Qualified OTor PTwith current HCPC registration
1. Significant post qualification experience in physical health including complex conditions, and aclear understanding of the NHS
1. Demonstrable leadership experience
1. Ability to travel between multiple sites efficiently
