Who we are Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is a leading global supplier of polymer-based critical sealing solutions and components for general industry, automotive, and aerospace. We are one of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group and have about 6,000 employees worldwide. This role is responsible for establishing the cost and transfer price of the products produced by TSS Bridgwater. Additionally, it involves implementing and managing the bills of materials (BoM) and routings associated with production, as well as any new CNC programming and tooling required. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities: Daily review of incoming requests, monitoring and reporting workload to team tracker and daily team meeting New item planning– Develop and implement production plans (BoMRouting) to improve the use of the organisation’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, volume, cost, wastage targets, and quality standards. Check that the manufacturing drawings are complete and released before planning, review them with production, and suggest improvements/corrections as necessary. Product costing: Produce product costings, including requesting prices from the supply chain as necessary and evaluating the product inspection drawing for quote purposes. RFQ responses – produce product quotes according to the RFQ requirements received. Beneficial Responsibilities: Adjust manufacturing routes to accommodate design changes and other suitable requests from production. The individual must determine whether the requested alteration is suitable and adequate for future production. This also includes processing revision change documents & pass them to the next relevant team. Liaise with the sales, quality, design, and site services engineering teams to resolve production issues, including involvement in the production quarantine process. The ideal candidate Technical education background in engineering Able to analyse problems logically Highly self-motivated & self-managed Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and initiative First-class people skills Experience in a mechanical engineering/manufacturing field would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills Flexibility and ability to cope with the stresses of rapidly changing priorities within the business. Planning and interpersonal skills PC skills, especially including excel and TSS IT/systems This position is based on-site at Bridgwater.
