Job Description - Located in Marlow, UK - Reporting to Associate Director, International Data & Analytics - BTS - Allergan Aesthetics Role Overview BTS Data and Analytics team within Allergan Aesthetics (AA) International Commercial Business is dedicated to evolving the organization into a data and insights-driven entity. We are seeking a talented Analytics and Insights Team Lead to join our dynamic Data and Analytics team. In this role, you will be essential in driving our analytics capabilities, building the technical solutions and tools needed to translate complex data into business insights, and deliver data-driven projects. This individual will lead our Analytics and Insights team and will be responsible for the technological direction and development of our analytics ecosystem, ensuring seamless data integration, robust infrastructure, and the continuous advancement of our analytics capabilities. Leadership skills are essential, and we recognize that these can be transferable and need not be gained exclusively from previous analytics and insights lead roles. In this role you will be reporting to the International Associate Director of Data & Analytics, and you will be responsible for: Data Analytics and Insights Responsibilities (50%): - Developing and maintaining analytical models to extract insights from complex datasets that can be use or Data Insights Generation - Analytics Tool Development: Build and maintain analytics dashboards, reporting tools, and visualization solutions to support business teams in decision-making. - Advanced Analytics Models: Implement predictive, prescriptive, and diagnostic analytics models, applying statistical techniques, machine learning, and AI to solve business problems. - Business Process Optimization: Analyze operational and customer data to recommend improvements in business processes, optimizing performance and efficiency. - Data Quality & Governance: Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and compliance within analytics processes, safeguarding the accuracy and reliability of business data. Team Lead Responsibilities (50%): - Team Management: Lead a cross-functional team of data analysts, business systems analysts, and data scientists. Actively provide mentorship, feedback, and development opportunities. - Project Leadership: manage multiple analytics projects, ensuring they align with business goals, are completed on time, and meet quality standards. - Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders (Sales, Operations, Marketing) to identify analytics needs, define project objectives, and ensure data solutions align with business strategies. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the broader BTS team and other technical groups to ensure seamless implementation and support of analytics tools and initiatives. - Performance Measurement & Reporting: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of analytics initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Education Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent work experience. Essential Experience - Experience in analytics, proven experience in developing and deploying analytical models. - Hands-on proficiency in writing and creating scripts using Python or R, as well as complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis. - Experience in reviewing and guiding the work of a broader team composed of internal and third-party resources to ensure high-quality outcomes. - Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Desirable Experience - Experience with commercial analytics platforms and CRM systems (e.g., Veeva CRM, Sales Force Marketing Cloud). - Experience in supporting and maintaining analytics solutions in a "Run" environment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of analytics applications. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance the operational performance of analytics platforms. - Practical experience with Palantir Foundry, including data integration, model development, and deploying analytics solutions within the Foundry ecosystem. - Capability to leverage Foundry's tools to drive data-driven decision-making and operational efficiencies. - Having worked with commercial and sales analytics within the pharmaceutical industry, including market analysis, sales performance metrics, and customer insights. - Experience with cloud-based analytics solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, Databricks). Tools and skills you will use in this role include: - Advanced analytics tools (e.g., Python, R) Demonstrable experience in using Python or R for data analysis, including scripting, data manipulation, and developing predictive models. - Data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Web SDK using React) Proven ability to create interactive, insightful dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, with a track record of enabling data-driven decisions. - SQL and other database management tools. Extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries and managing relational databases to extract, cleanse, and manipulate data efficiently.
