This role is supporting projects based around the South of England, locations such as Wokingham, Exeter, and Plymouth are a few. Travel will be expected.
What you'll be doing
As a Buyer, you will have the following responsibilities:
* Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
* Projects POC for the South Delivery Unit, to provide support, resolve queries, and offer advice
* Ensuring internal spend compliance
* Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
* Conducting tender processes
* Supplier meetings and engagement
* Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
* Management of Procurement Schedules
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
* Identifying key trends or opportunities for cost reduction
* Negotiating discounts and savings & ensuring accurate reporting of such along with value-add activities
* Supplier performance management
* Ensuring adherence to procurement processes and procedures
