Francis Holland Sloane Square is a highly sought-after, independent selective school for around 590 senior pupils aged 11 to 18. The Assistant Head: Head of Sixth Form has responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Sixth Form, the academic progress and pastoral welfare of the Sixth Form students and the operation of the Sixth Form Centre in the Old School House. The Sixth Form comprises around 150 pupils, and retention from Year 11 is excellent. The Assistant Head: Head of Sixth Form is supported by the Heads of Years 12 and 13 and a team of experienced tutors who oversee the students in small tutorial groups. We are looking for someone with vision and energy to carry forward the exceptional Sixth Form provision which has been established over recent years. This highly motivated, creative, warm and enthusiastic individual will oversee the pastoral wellbeing and academic progress of the senior girls, working in close collaboration with the Head of Futures and Innovation, the Heads of Year 12 and Year 13 and the large team of outstanding tutors. Creative thinking and the ability to inspire enthusiasm in the Sixth Form will be vital. The successful candidate is likely to have experience of pastoral leadership, experience with the Sixth Form or both. The post holder will join the Extended Leadership Team and be line managed and supported by the Senior Deputy Head Pastoral, who oversees all matters pertaining to pastoral care and discipline.
