We, Cigna Global Individual Health (GIH), have identified the need for a copywriter to join the newly formed GIH Creative Services team within marketing. You’ll be supporting the development and implementation of the GIH marketing strategy to deliver revenue, growth and enhance the brand.
Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, you’ll be a key member of our in-house creative services team.
The right candidate will be a high-quality practitioner who can provide expert copywriting and produce long and short-form copy which is aligned to our brand’s Tone of Voice.
Consumer Duty (UK)
The FCA’s Consumer Principle requires firms to act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers. This relates to the four outcomes and represent key elements of the firm-consumer relationship which are instrumental in helping to drive good outcomes for customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver brand-enhancing multi-channel copy.
* Respond to all briefs with care and apply existing Tone of Voice guidelines diligently to ensure work is ‘right first time’.
* Turning technical information into simple, compelling messaging and content.
* Reviewing, amending and approving existing content.
* Amend, revise or re-develop copy in response to feedback.
* Copy custodian; learning from insight and previous performance to deliver best in class creative assets.
* Present work and, where required, construct rationales for the approach you have taken.
* Be proactive and fully accountable for your deliverables and deadlines.
* Manage projects using the chosen project management software (Planner) to organize tasks, track deadlines, and update project progress on time.
* Build strong relationships with the rest of the marketing team.
* Liaise with requestors and stakeholders to seek clarity for incoming briefs and enquire about required project assets. Communicate effectively with other team members when handing over final copy for design/email/website. Gather and implement feedback during amend rounds ensuring stakeholder satisfaction with effectiveness of copy, with the goal of brand alignment and message quality.
REGULATORY OBLIGATIONS
Some roles are included in the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR), the basic principle of the Senior Managers Regime is that of responsibility and accountability. A senior manager must take responsibility for the activities under their control to:

Regulatory Obligations
* Discharge Certification Function and Management Responsibilities in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including the Individual Conduct Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority and, where applicable, the Prudential Regulation Authority.
* Ensure areas for which this role has responsibility are adequately monitored and controlled.
* Ensure that where responsibilities are delegated, the following safeguards are in place:
* People are capable of taking on delegated activities,
* People are informed of the extent and limits of delegated responsibilities, ensuring this has been appropriately documented,
* Supervise and monitor the people to whom responsibility has been delegated, maintaining a suitable level of understanding of the activity delegated.
* Fulfilment of PRA/FCA requirements in respect of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, including ongoing compliance with fitness and propriety obligations.
* Be open and transparent with all relevant governance committees, including the Board, ensuring they are adequately apprised of all significant matters about which they should be made aware.
* Accountable for the management of risks inherent in functional area of responsibility and for implementing risk management systems and controls that provide a suitable operational environment to support the delivery of strategic objectives.
* To ensure the principle of Treating Customers Fairly and related customer outcomes are embedded within the business and adhered to by the functional area of responsibility.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in a copywriter role for leading brands.
* We need a confident, capable person ideally with three or more years’ experience as an Agency, in-house, or freelance copywriter.
* You’ll need to show you can generate sharp, compelling copy through a range of channels on- and offline. The work will be diverse, from snappy creative messaging to longer-form content.
* You’ll need to be comfortable working within the guidelines of a global brand, yet with the creativity to write with flair and invention.
