To ensure water projects in the area are managed successfully from inception to completion, ensuring Health & Safety standards and time frames are met, we are looking for an Assistant HSEQ Advisor, What you will be doing? As an Assistant HSEQ Advisor, you will proactively support a number of projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management systems. You will assist the site teams and managers through your role to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving the health, safety, environmental and quality standards. You will champion HSEQ initiatives in the workplace whilst ensuring that legislation is adhered to. Responsibilities: Advice and support Provide support to the HSEQ Manager to be able to provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice. Provide support on HSEQ proactive initiatives and assist in delivering dedicated HSEQ campaigns across the IOS framework Provide support on HSEQ issues/problems Support the HSEQ Manager with compiling statistics every month by reviewing dashboards, integrating positive Interventions reporting data, Assisting in identifying trends and providing suggestions for improvement Engage with the Front Line and act on their feedback Undertake site inspections and tours with the HSEQ Manager and assist in closing any actions arising from the inspections Communications Contribute to general communications within the IOS Framework. Assist with the production of material for communication to the site teams and wider IOS team to promote learning and prevention. Accident/incident investigations Support with incident investigations which includes identifying root causes, establishing adequate action plans and learning opportunities Keep the Project Team and HSEQ Team informed on the status of investigations A little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours…. Essential Previous experience working within the built environment. Experience within a civil engineering environment Ability to communicate at all levels, with good presentation and report-writing skills Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office package Accuracy and diligence with details Ability to lead by/set a good example Desirable NEBOSH general certificate, or equivalent Key measures & targets: Adherence to all deadlines set.
