HSE Officer
This role will assist the HSE Manager in leading/championing the site Health, Safety and Environmental agenda to ensure the full deployment of the HSE strategy, systems and processes to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Framework and standards.
Key Objectives Include:
• Assist with the management, improvement and implementation of procedures
• Assist with the identification & development of practical & effective safe working practices
• Carry out assessments such as COSHH, DSE and others
• Support the HSE Manager in development and roll out of training
• Deliver site health and safety inductions to all new employees.
• Work with employees to continue to develop the culture of Safety and Compliance
• Review and research HSE information to assist in the development/improvement of procedures/documents in line with management standards.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with environmental permits and other relevant legislation.
• Retain accurate and up to date hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Participate in the site auditing schedule • Assist with the development, execution and improvement of defect, accident and environmental impact prevention.
• Support the HSE Manager to maintain/update HSE performance data.
• Provide research information to the HSE Manager, enabling the development of short and long term HSE strategy, objectives, and KPI’s.
• Assist the HSE Manager in the delivery of the site Master Plan and Strategy.
• Liaise with employees/managers to provide support with HSE issues
Key Attributes:
· Third level qualification in a relevant HSE discipline.
· Ability to interface at all levels · Ability to help build a positive HSE culture
Strong effective organisational and time management skills
· Motivated team player ·
Previous experience in a HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing environment, would be a distinct advantage
