What the Job Involves Your role as a Social Worker within Children’s Services involves assessing and managing risks to children, developing plans to keep them safe, and enabling them to achieve their potential. You'll be part of a team providing social work services, maintaining legal permanence for children, and fostering effective working relationships. Tasks include assessing needs, planning and managing care, monitoring provisions, managing a workload, and undertaking professional development to enhance service delivery.
