The Opportunity:
This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Day Nursery. The Day Nursery is a purpose-built facility offering places to 128 children every day. We currently require 2 Nursery Nurses to support and complement our team. The successful candidate will provide a safe, happy, and caring environment for all the children at the nursery, offering planned activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
The Nursery adheres to Staffordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board and University Safeguarding procedures.
To be successful you must have NVQ 3 in Childcare or equivalent, along with a broad range of experience with children aged 12 weeks to 5 years. Functional skills in English and Maths are essential and GCSE Grade C, or equivalent, in Maths and English would be preferred.
In addition, you must be able to work effectively within a team and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
