Opportunities and Roles
We are recruiting for various positions across multiple services, including Financial Reporting, Treasury and Capital, Children’s Services, Adults, Regeneration, Housing and Environment, and Housing Benefits (Revenue and Benefits). Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting: Manage financial reporting processes and ensure account accuracy.
2. Capital: Support the Council’s capital programmes, including funding arrangements.
3. Financial Strategy & Reporting: Coordinate the Medium Term Financial Plan and monthly management reports.
4. Adults Services: Oversee financial operations in adult services.
5. Education: Support financial management in schools and special education needs (SEND).
6. Regeneration, Housing & Environment: Manage finances for regeneration projects, housing, and environmental services.
7. Public Health & Public Protection: Support financial management across these services.
8. Corporate Resources: Support the Chief Executive and S151 officer and their teams.
9. Revenue & Benefits: Support services managing council tax, business rates, and housing benefits.
What You Will Do
* Provide financial oversight and support across various services.
* Ensure accurate cost monitoring and forecasting.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service delivery and performance.
* Utilise technology and accounting systems (Microsoft, Agresso) effectively.
Your Skills
* Ambitious finance professionals, newly qualified or with post-qualification experience.
* Chartered qualification preferred but not essential.
* Strong numerical aptitude and ability to communicate financial information clearly.
* Driven, energetic, and passionate about finance.
* Adept with technology and standard accounting tools.
